Challenge

An energy infrastructure company needed a better way to manage renewable and grid connected equipment across multiple locations. Its assets included wind generators, solar panels, electrical infrastructure, sensors, PLC and RTU systems, and other field equipment.

The company already had operational data, but it was fragmented across devices, local systems, manual reports, and maintenance processes. This made it difficult to compare asset performance, detect faults early, understand equipment condition, and plan service work before failures affected energy production.

Managers needed one operating layer for equipment health, fault tracking, maintenance planning, energy consumption analytics, and performance reporting. Field teams needed a clearer process for classifying issues, responding to alerts, and documenting service activity.

The client was not looking for a simple IoT dashboard. It needed secure industrial IoT software that could connect distributed energy assets, turn live equipment data into operational insight, and support faster decisions across renewable energy infrastructure.

Solution

Aetsoft designed and developed an industrial IoT performance monitoring system for renewable energy and electrical infrastructure assets. The platform collected data from IoT devices, sensors, PLC and RTU acquisition systems, wind generators, solar panels, grid equipment, and other connected assets.

The system included dashboards for asset performance monitoring, energy consumption analytics, equipment condition tracking, fault diagnostics, emergency alerts, maintenance scheduling, ticket management, document collaboration, and configurable reporting.

Aetsoft also built the workflow layer around the data. Users could classify faults by urgency, assign maintenance tasks, monitor issue status, review asset history, generate reports, and manage operational documents inside one platform. This helped replace manual reporting and disconnected maintenance coordination with a structured process.

The platform included role based access, customizable permissions, secure user management, data encryption, and reporting templates. These controls allowed different teams and customers to access the information they needed while protecting operational data.

The result was a connected energy asset monitoring platform that combined industrial IoT data, maintenance workflows, fault management, reporting, and operational control in one system.

Results

The client received industrial IoT software that improved visibility across distributed renewable energy and infrastructure assets. Teams could monitor equipment performance, track asset condition, detect faults, schedule maintenance, and generate reports from one platform.

The system reduced dependence on manual reporting and gave managers a clearer view of energy production, energy consumption, equipment status, service priorities, and operational efficiency across multiple sites.

Maintenance teams gained a more structured way to work with technical issues. Faults could be classified by urgency, tickets could be tracked, service actions could be planned, and related documents could be managed inside the system. This improved coordination between managers, technicians, and customer facing teams.

The platform also supported preventive maintenance by helping the client identify equipment issues earlier and respond before downtime occurred.
