In 2019, a visionary team set out to launch an HR services company in the Middle East, determined to bring modern, accessible solutions to a market still reliant on outdated tools and manual processes. The founders faced the daunting task of building a comprehensive HR platform entirely from scratch. They needed a full-stack system capable of handling core HR functions employee onboarding, attendance tracking, payroll processing, performance management, compliance reporting, and leave requests while ensuring seamless access across web and mobile devices. Existing off-the-shelf solutions were either too generic, lacking regional customization for Middle Eastern labor laws and cultural requirements, or not scalable enough for rapid growth. Cross-platform consistency was critical: desktop users required rich administrative dashboards, while field managers and employees needed intuitive mobile access for daily tasks. Data security, integration with local payroll providers, and the ability to handle multilingual interfaces added further complexity. Without a unified, scalable platform, the company risked slow adoption, high administrative overhead, and inability to compete with established players.

We partnered with the client from day one to deliver a complete custom HR management system tailored to their vision. The web application was developed using AngularJS to create a robust, dynamic interface with comprehensive administrative tools and real-time dashboards. For mobile accessibility, we built a React Native application that mirrors key functionalities attendance check-ins, payroll views, leave applications, and employee self-service ensuring a native feel on both iOS and Android. The backend was powered by Node.js with Express for efficient API handling, paired with a hybrid database approach using MongoDB for flexible document storage and PostgreSQL for structured transactional data. Hosted on AWS and Azure for redundancy and scalability, the system incorporates secure authentication, role-based access, and third-party API integrations for payroll gateways and compliance tools. Through close agile collaboration, we delivered iterative releases, ongoing optimizations, and new feature additions aligned with evolving business needs and regional regulations.
