Hiring the right people with just the right skills and experience in food e-commerce was essential to fulfill the nitty-gritty of the requirement and achieve desired results. In order to handle competitive pressure, it was crucial to reduce the app’s time to market. To meet the need, we placed our team onsite to help bridge the gap in understanding the requirement and connect cross-functional teams to brainstorm the solution while keeping in mind the current legacy system and its limitations.

  • Offering high personalization


In order to make people order from the KFC food delivery application in place of aggregator apps, it was critical to double down on the customer experience. To achieve the same, we offered a high level of personalization in the app and made it easy for customers to view their order history and make payment through multiple gateway options.

We executed the entire project in BOOT (Build, Operate, Optimize, Transfer) model. Once our team gained complete understanding of the client's vision for the product, we went on to build a solid foundation with the first KFC mobile app. Once the app met client's expectations, it was instantiated and extended to deploy in multiple markets.
Some important optimizations we did during Americana's KFC app development include:
Multiple order modesWe added multiple ways for users to place orders both through the KFC food delivery app and in restaurants. For easy accessibility of the users, we brought the options of Delivery, Self-Pickup, Drive-Thru, Dine-In, and Carhop on the app home screen.

QR functionality for in-restaurant orders: We worked on creating a contactless experience for the KFC diners. Our team worked on the facility of placing orders by scanning the QR code on their devices. This didn’t just expedite the order placing time but also lowered the waiting time to a massive extent.

Advanced analytics: We added advanced analytics for the brand to view the KFC app’s performance. Based on graphs and digestible data, we made it easy for the admins to track the performance and the critical areas they had to work on.
