The main challenge in developing "Max Heroes" was to create a mobile card-based game that combined elements of idle gameplay and card strategy effectively. The game needed to appeal to both casual players and card game enthusiasts while offering depth and complexity in card collection and strategy. Solution
To address these challenges, our development team implemented several key solutions. We designed a system where players could place their heroes, who would automatically fight, gather resources, and progress even when the player was not actively playing. This idle system made it easier for both casual and busy players to enjoy the game.
The card collection aspect was designed with over 100+ heroes, each belonging to one of six camps and four careers. Players could upgrade and advance their heroes to become super-powerful, allowing for a wide variety of strategic choices. The simple, yet tactical combat system was introduced, where players could improve their heroes' skills and apply them strategically in battles.
