The key objectives included: creating an immersive simulator using real sports equipment, reproducing real-world rafting locations in a virtual environment, implementing gyroscope-based controls for intuitive gameplay

Solution
We developed a cross-platform mobile app called Rafting VR, compatible with both Android and iOS, designed to deliver an immersive rafting experience. Key components of our solution:
Used Google Street View panoramas to recreate real rafting routes in 4K quality, including locations in Africa, Australia, and Italy
Created a custom water shader optimized for mobile to simulate realistic water effects, including foam, splashes, and reflections
Built 3D models of kayaks and paddles based on over 10,000 photos of real equipment
Implemented motion control using the gyroscope, allowing players to navigate the river naturally through body movement
