ThePsycho — Immersive VR Horror Game
Challenge
The client aimed to develop an atmospheric horror game for virtual reality, focusing on psychological tension, immersive storytelling, and realistic mechanics. The primary task was to create a gripping and eerie environment that would keep users engaged while taking full advantage of VR hardware capabilities.
Key challenges included:
Implementing natural user interaction in VR (e.g. grabbing, throwing, and physical puzzles);
Creating a dynamic horror atmosphere with lighting, sound, and level design;
Ensuring cross-device compatibility with leading VR headsets;
Optimizing performance to avoid motion sickness or technical constraints in VR environments.
