Traditional on-set administration relied completely on paper scripts, physical handoffs, and in-person cluster meetings, which exposed cast and crew to constant health risks and logistics bottlenecks. Production managers lacked an automated method to trace contact logs, confirm vaccination records, or monitor shooting schedules remotely. They faced a tough problem: remove physical contact points from active sets completely without dropping project velocity or harming team communication. We developed HotSet to digitalize filming operations and replace physical interactions with contactless workflows. Built using React Native, JavaScript, Node.js, and MongoDB, the application moves complex administrative processes into a secure mobile environment.
The platform allows users to submit pre-screening health forms, log compliance documentation, and track contact tracing protocols digitally. We built a centralized administrative dashboard that grants production heads real-time oversight and direct coordination controls over their entire crew. Additionally, we implemented automated notifications and paperless wardrobe allocation tools to safely clear physical logjams from active stages.
