TruBridge, one of the leading suppliers of medical record encoders in the U.S., aimed to simplify the work of medical coders and enhance coding accuracy. The company approached EffectiveSoft to develop a desktop solution addressing the challenge. The next phase of the project involved enhancing the solution’s capabilities and moving it to the cloud.

The company approached EffectiveSoft to develop a desktop solution addressing the challenge. The next phase of the project involved enhancing the solution’s capabilities and moving it to the cloud.
Solution
The EffectiveSoft team designed and implemented a solution that enables medical coders to analyze clinical statements and assign standard codes to diagnoses and treatments based on the existing international classification system. Care costs and reimbursement are calculated automatically based on the codes, which streamlines insurance claims processing and guarantees accurate billing. TruBridge Encoder is the desktop version of the solution that helps medical coders enhance coding accuracy and improve productivity. The cloud version of the product is TruBridge Encoder Essentials that runs on HIPAA compliant cloud storage services from Microsoft and can be incorporated into the existing medical software solution.
The TruBridge software enables users to:
- search for information using terms, codes, and synonyms
- research additional information related to the chosen code
- edit inpatient and outpatient claims
- calculate the grouping and pricing of claims
- import and export patient records
