Before collaborating with Emvigo, our client encountered significant barriers in establishing a cohesive digital solution. The UK automotive market lacked a single platform where users could buy, sell, and swap vehicles seamlessly. As a result, car dealers and private individuals had to rely on fragmented services to conduct transactions, which limited convenience and user satisfaction. Furthermore, there were no existing applications that offered a fair and transparent pricing mechanism, nor an easy, engaging interface for users to explore vehicle listings interactively. Our client required a solution capable of addressing these gaps and creating an accessible, intuitive platform for the UK market.

Solution
The project involved developing an engaging, swipe-based interface that allowed users to navigate through vehicle listings effortlessly. This intuitive design empowered users to explore car options by simply swiping left or right across interactive vehicle tiles. To further streamline the process, an in-app chat feature had been integrated, which enabled direct, real-time communication between buyers and sellers. This feature removed the need for intermediaries, thereby enhancing transparency and control in the negotiation process.
The solution also incorporated a robust listing and valuation system, where users could register their vehicles by inputting registration numbers. An advanced algorithm, leveraging data from the DVLA, generated accurate vehicle details and fair valuations. This approach not only bolstered user trust but also ensured that pricing was both reliable and competitive. This collaboration resulted in a solution that was not only technologically robust but also highly user-centric, catering to the diverse needs of both private individuals and dealers in the car trading ecosystem.

Engagement metrics had shown a rapid increase, with Android downloads reaching 1739 (1691 active users) and iOS downloads totalling 761 by October 23rd.
