Challenge

The university turned to Euristiq to conduct a comprehensive Discovery to map out a Student Information System modernization strategy. Their Student Information System (SIS) consisted of 60 modules including a Course Offering System (COS), and its modernization would set the foundation for a major digital transformation that would adapt the university to modern educational needs.

Solution

York University requested options to modernize their Student Information System that comprises an outdated suite of over 60 independent modules with disparate UIs over 60 outdated modules. Serving more than 45,000 students and 5,000 staff across multiple faculties, a legacy system led to significant employee frustration and operational inefficiencies.

Euristiq has conducted a Discovery service and provided the design and architecture of the modernized Student Information System (SIS) and Course Offering System. The deliverables we provided include: Options Analysis Report, UI/UX redesign concepts with Figma prototypes and high-fidelity wireframes, detailed needs assessment, and a solution design document outlining system architecture.
