
AC, Heating and Ventilation Automation for Office Buildings
Challenge
The challenge in this case is to implement an AC control system that integrates with the physical openings and access points in large, busy, office buildings.
The solution needs to integrate with the BMS that already exists and provide the ability to relay real time monitoring data using a very light protocol, because many windows are being monitored.
Our parter in this case had specific requirements for the automation of the system, responding proactively to changes in the ambient local conditions. The soultion needed to be wireless and provide data storage and analysis options.

Solution
This IoT solution can help save energy by detecting when a window is open and then automatically turning off the air conditioning. It is a wireless system, meaning there is no need for any wiring, and it can be easily installed on any window.
The system uses a gateway to send data to an IoT platform, which records the amount of time that each window is open and the total amount of time that the air conditioning has been stopped. This data can then be used to calculate the total energy savings that have been achieved.
The system is also able to detect varying levels of air flow, making it even more efficient and effective. This IoT solution can provide an easy and effective way to save energy and money by automatically turning off the air conditioning when a window is open.
BLE Beacons are installed on various windows inside the building.
Center gateway is configured when window opening is detected at certain window to close a relay. This relay signal gives data to the building BMS and the heating is stopped.
Every 10 minutes the gateway sends status of all the opened and closed windows to findy IoT platform for further analysis.
