Challenge

Common challenges across the education sector are disconnected solutions, ageing infrastructure that's often not built for purpose, and lots and lots of manual reports, paper trails and emails - taking time and focus away from students' development.

Whilst leading in education and student development, Lord Wandsworth College faced these challenges and felt that something was missing from their strategic vision; how could technology play a pivotal role in what they do, and how could this evolve in the future to offer better opportunities to their students. 
 

Solution

We brought together the Lord Wandsworth College team, and mapped out every touchpoint involving both students and teachers, from paperwork to lesson notes, accounting and student registration, all the way through the process to how to further engage LWC alumni.

Our Digital Due Diligence assessment highlighted where using AI could really save time; Automating student registration, creating a new way to connect to the Alumni and donors, using AI to deliver personalised learning and to bring technology to the heart of everything the school does.

We proposed an 18-month programme, to build internal capabilities that will lead to improved financial sustainability, reputation and lasting change. Most importantly, it will free up teachers' time, allowing them to focus more on what truly matters: their students.

Lord Wandsworth College’s Digital Evolution Strategy will transform the way the school operates and better connect with staff, students and parents. Some insights include that implementing recommendations will achieve:

  • 330% estimated ROI within the first five years.
  • Enhanced customer satisfaction levels by removing some unwanted frictions in the admission process and making it twice faster. 
  • Increased Data and Visibility for better decision-making from 69.03% to 86%.
  • Increased operational efficiency from 63.5% to 95%.

Results

We brought clarity, showing the current state of play using data, aligning all teams on the priorities and increasing cross-functional empathy. The Digital Due Diligence report showed them the route to measurable return on investment potential for each initiative, making them ready to act on it and start their Digital Evolution journey.
