Challenge
The main challenge: numerous disconnected business services were used and there were a couple of people in the back office who managed the entire ordering process.
The software had to be unified into one single system with a user-friendly dashboard. It’s counterproductive to manage the orders within a large seafood chain on a piece of paper or even in an Excel spreadsheet. Egersund Seafood wanted to digitalize the processes and reduce human error opportunities and increase productivity with the order management system.

Solution
We have created our own custom order management system that unites clients, administrators, kitchens, salespeople, and couriers.
Now the employees can:
Manage the orders that were placed online and create an order manually in case of phone call orders
Manage delivery personnel and easily assign orders to them
Manage and update client information
Easily update the menu and product availability
Additionally, the mobile app for couriers is to help delivery personnel stay on top of the news regarding the orders they need to deliver. There are the locations of the pickups and necessary information about the orders.
The system is integrated with the client-facing multilingual website as well as two mobile apps (one for the clients and the other for the delivery personnel.)

400 online orders per month grew to 8,000+ orders per month.
As a result, the solution now features a complex administrative dashboard with all the orders and their status. The system is connected to the client's website for ordering as well as mobile apps for couriers for tracking the order's readiness for delivery.
