Challenge

Our client, an AI-driven cybersecurity startup, had an ambitious goal—to launch their advanced cybersecurity assistant as a subscription-based SaaS platform with seamless Slack integration. However, the product’s backend, initially built on open-source code, was unstable and lacked the robust security protocols required for enterprise-level deployment. The client was concerned about vulnerabilities in the original codebase and wanted to ensure that all third-party components were optimized, secure, and scalable.

In addition to backend challenges, the client also needed a polished, professional marketing website to drive conversions. The existing web presence was minimal, and they required a fully responsive site to showcase their product, manage subscriptions, and support ongoing marketing efforts. The task was to build a cohesive digital ecosystem—including an AI-enhanced backend, interactive Slack bot, and marketing front-end—within a tight six-month window.

The core challenge lay in aligning multiple technologies—AI, cloud infrastructure, SaaS architecture, and Slack's API—into a seamless, scalable, and secure solution that could support future growth. Every touchpoint, from backend model training to customer interaction in Slack, had to be stable, trackable, and easy to manage.

Solution

We approached the project with a three-phase implementation plan: backend stabilization and enhancement, Slack integration, and front-end development for the website. Starting with the backend, we audited and refactored the open-source RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) system, deploying it securely on AWS and training it with client-provided cybersecurity documents. We used Hugging Face’s LLM models and implemented data processing pipelines that integrated with Chroma DB and Cosmos DB to handle embeddings, chat logs, and contextual memory.

To make the system accessible, we built a fully integrated Slack app that allowed users to interact with BLodgic's AI directly in their workspace. The Slack bot was designed to support tiered user access. Users could explore limited free conversations initially, and gain full access through subscription or administrative approval. We also created a review mechanism where admin users could audit previous conversations for feedback and oversight.

Finally, to bring everything together and support the client’s go-to-market strategy, we developed a modern, SEO-optimized marketing website using WordPress. The site featured Mailchimp-integrated signup forms, mobile responsiveness, dynamic sections, and clear CTAs. It allowed the client to gather leads, educate users about the platform, and funnel signups directly into their product's user base.

Results

The BLodgic platform now offers a seamless, user-friendly experience that connects enterprise users to real-time cybersecurity insights directly through Slack. Our architecture allowed for full interaction logging, AI-driven responses, subscription access control, and API-level connectivity—all while maintaining data security and operational transparency. The application is robust, scalable, and optimized for both daily team use and long-term product evolution.

By deploying the AI system on AWS and securing it with proper infrastructure, we ensured maximum uptime, fast response rates, and cloud-native scalability. Users now receive contextual, intelligent answers about cybersecurity threats, compliance protocols, and threat mitigation strategies directly in their Slack channels. Admins can manage access levels, review conversations, and scale the system without friction.

On the front end, the website has become an essential lead-generation tool. Through well-placed forms and marketing automation integrations, the site now converts curious visitors into trial users. The overall system functions as a closed-loop SaaS platform, from marketing to onboarding to in-product support. The client has since onboarded paying enterprise customers and is exploring further integrations with Microsoft Teams and Google Chat, cementing BLodgic’s position as a forward-thinking AI solution in cybersecurity.
