To solve these challenges, we developed Export Orbital, an AI-powered compliance assistant built as a SaaS platform. Our team at Idea Maker combined custom AI training with a modern web stack to deliver a fast, secure, and intelligent user experience.
At the core of the platform is a chatbot powered by OpenAI, designed to interpret complex legal content and respond to user questions in plain English. We didn’t just use general models—we trained and fine-tuned the AI using real government documents and regulations. This allowed the system to understand the structure, tone, and intent behind legal language, and provide contextual, practical responses.
We implemented Pinecone as a vector database to enable semantic document search, letting the chatbot locate and reference relevant sections of text even when users asked indirect or abstract questions. Combined with prompt engineering, the result was an AI that feels intelligent, responsive, and helpful—even in niche compliance scenarios.
The frontend, built with React, delivers a smooth, multi-session experience where users can revisit past conversations or start new ones with ease. On the backend, we used Django for rapid, secure development and integrated Stripe for subscription and payment handling.
