Challenge
The project implied 2 global scopes: to create an easy-to-use online wine trading platform and to address major issues that private wine sellers usually face:
- building a commercially profitable wine portfolio
- getting around brokers' commissions and mark-ups and reducing the end-consumer price of the bottle
- distributing wine (niche for major varieties of wine are rather monopolies, where traditional distribution channels dominate)
- overgoing limitations of physical supply and demand for wines.

Solution
An automated and easy-to-handle application's infrastructure is essential for an excellent UX. With this point in mind, we've equipped the App with the following features:
- wine labels' scanner that provides relevant details, such as the name of a wine, grape sorts, year, vineyard, country/region, and the manufacturer
- a global database of wines
- advanced search and sorting options
- an option to add selected wine to the user's profile
- an option to put the wine up for sale
- an opportunity to select the most convenient delivery method
- an option to import data from CellarTracker and Vivino.
