Solution

INNERLUXES built a HIPAA-compliant AI voice agent using the Amazon Nova Sonic speech-to-speech model together with the LiveKit Media Server. By handling speech directly rather than juggling three separate models, the agent holds natural, human-like conversations with realistic turn-taking and minimal latency. It integrates with hospital systems to confirm appointments within the same call, checking physician availability and updating scheduling details in real time instead of via manual or batch processes.

Results

The solution delivers fast, natural, same-call appointment confirmations with no perceptible backend latency, and is projected to reduce scheduling costs by at least 50%. Its speech-to-speech architecture removes the awkwardness of multi-model assistants while maintaining HIPAA-grade security and real-time integration with clinical systems.
