Enterprise Data Catalog for Tacoma Public Utilities
Challenge
Tacoma Public Utilities had embarked on building an advanced data analytics ecosystem using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Snowflake. As part of becoming a more data-driven utility, TPU needed an enterprise data catalog that could maintain an inventory of their data assets by discovering, describing, and organizing distributed datasets across multiple systems.

Solution
Intellectyx partnered with Tacoma Public Utilities to implement DQLabs.ai, an AI-augmented data catalog platform that integrated TPU’s diverse data sources and systems. The platform allowed TPU users, including data stewards, analysts, engineers, and data scientists, to easily search, filter, and consume data across systems, including AWS, Snowflake, and SQL Server.
