Deployed Resources had been using a PHP-based custom-developed asset management application called DRAT to manage over 2000 inventory equipment assets. However, as the number of assets managed in the application increased, various issues related to the application’s performance and user interface began to surface.

Solution
To address these issues, Deployed Resources engaged Kanda to replace the existing DRAT asset management application with a new custom-developed desktop and mobile version. The new application was built in line with modern application usability and performance standards. It included features such as seamless offline synchronization capabilities, improved asset management and reporting, upgraded data protection, increased compatibility of mobile and desktop applications, advanced asset search and location management, enhanced backup capabilities, better visualization tools, and more integration capabilities.

Results
The collaboration with Kanda resulted in the successful design, development, and rollout of DRAT 2.0, a modernized version of DRAT. This new system streamlined the company’s asset management process, with over 2000+ assets successfully migrated. The modern features of DRAT 2.0 boosted the team’s efficiency in managing their inventory items. The team can now work with data confidently, knowing that changes will be synchronized and saved even in offline mode. The modernized system also enhanced data security and control, with features like SSO Integration, DB Protection, User Roles, Web-based protection, and NIST 800-171 compliance.
