Challenge

In the event of an anaphylaxis emergency, Rescufy automates and streamlines the emergency action plan by enabling patients, parents and caregivers to simply tap the “Get Help” button. Once activated, Rescufy immediately dials 9-1-1 and simultaneously sends care-critical medical information to 9-1-1 and emergency contacts via text message. The Rescufy process moves rapidly and accurately, providing first responders with a comprehensive understanding of the patient’s medical information, known allergies, time of reaction, address and GPS coordinates, thus ensuring the best possible outcome. The patient also has the option of dialing 911 from the Lock Screen and utilizing a voice recording.

Solution

Rescufy was able to tap into the custom mobile application development expertise of Kanda’s experienced engineering teams in order to create a functional, user friendly and easy to navigate android application with the ability to automatically collect and send necessary medical information and simplify access to the application in the case of anaphylactic shock. The result was a resounding success, as Kanda was able to meet every requirement for the application while remaining well within budget and meeting every development deadline along the way.
