The challenge was to develop an online service that meets the specific requirements of modern, international students. In particular, the aim was to create a system that not only streamlines the printing and binding process, but also offers additional features such as plagiarism checks, visual inspection, and precise configuration of the final product. It was essential to ensure that all information was easily accessible, transparent, and intuitive to use.

The answer to this challenge came with the introduction of the online configurator by Kenner Soft Services GmbH in 2020. This configurator was integrated into the existing WordPress-based BachelorPrint website and is based on Vue.js and Shopware 5. The platform allows users to:
Check for plagiarism in just 10 minutes;
Free express shipping with a transparent delivery date calculator;
Use of the 3D previewer to visually check the work before ordering;
Selection of binding, hardcover color, embossing, and even university logos;
Checking the print data for printability and adding accessories such as CD cases or bags to the work;
Final check with the “3D Live Preview” and the “Look Inside” feature for realistic digital browsing through the finished product;
Instant price preview and delivery date calculation;
Clear, detailed product descriptions and variants on each product page;
