Our client is one of the leading educational platforms for English learners, operating on the global market for over 14 years. The solution combines private coaching, more than 30K free text and audio exercises, English tests, exam preparation tools, elements of gamification, and a forum for English learners. Light IT was assigned to review and revamp the existing web application to make it more accessible and easier to use for the students. A number of features were also developed per the client’s request.

Solution
To achieve the project’s objective, the Light IT team had to resolve the following challenges: compose a new platform’s design for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices; establish smooth and user-friendly UI/UX, optimize the user journey; ensure trouble-free operation of different types of user accounts (free and premium); safeguard uninterrupted access to a number of assets for the premium users (no ads displayed, unique discount system, and free monthly lessons); create downloadable user certificates upon tests' completion; introduce full-text search; develop an array of unobtrusive notifications and pop-ups; add link sharing functionality.

Results
After all of the requested features and the new design were successfully adopted, our client received a lot of positive feedback from the users. The application currently has 375K unique monthly visitors, and this number keeps growing. At the moment, the platform is monetized in multiple ways: ads rotation (for free accounts), subscription plans, and paid materials distributed via the built-in online shop.
