Client is the pioneer and the leading restaurant chain model in Vietnam, owning more than 21 brands and nearly 400 restaurants, serving 17 million customers annually.
They have approximately 20 mobile and web applications and each has 5-6 releases per year.
Therefore, the end-to-end test flow presents complexity due to its cross-platform nature, necessitating actions across various systems. The vast amount of data in API testing poses a challenge for manual testing to comprehensively cover.

Solution
We build an automation framework for both mobile and web testing. We develop a program to test APIs (using Java), supporting data-driven testing with a huge dataset. We use Java, Maven, TestNG, Appium (for mobile support), and Selenium (for web applications) as the tools.

Results
71 test cases were executed, detecting 3 bugs across 10 regression runs. The regression cycle time has decreased from 7 days/week to 4 days/week, contributing to maximizing the end-to-end test flow and achieving a 30% faster time to market for our client.
