Challenge

Solution
We placed the camera at the center of the experience. The app guides users on lighting and framing before scanning. Clear result screens show the key facts first, then allow users to open more details if needed. This keeps the process focused and easy to use during real collecting sessions.

Results
Coin suggests better angles when taking a photo to improve recognition. After scanning, the app lists likely matches with confidence labels. Each coin page shows country, year, mint mark, composition, and known variants. A value section displays recent market ranges and condition notes. Users can save coins to collections with tags for future reference.
Testing showed users identified coins faster and made fewer mistakes compared to manual searches. They reported clearer decisions about grading and whether to research deeper. The app set a strong base for future additions such as offline packs and multi-coin scanning.
