Challenge

The client developed a comprehensive church management platform designed to support key administrative and community functions for churches, including member directories, event scheduling, communication tools, and most critically—online donation processing. Given the sensitive nature of handling financial transactions and donor data, the client required full-cycle QA testing to ensure platform stability, form accuracy, and payment security.

The main challenge was to verify that donation forms worked flawlessly across devices and browsers, while also ensuring seamless integration with third-party payment gateways and recurring donation features. The client also needed test automation to support faster release cycles and minimize manual QA overhead.

Solution

RELA-TECH delivered a robust testing solution covering both manual and automated approaches:

Performed manual end-to-end testing across all donation-related workflows, including single-time and recurring donations, confirmation flows, donor notifications, and failed transaction handling.
Conducted form validation tests across browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and devices (mobile and desktop) to ensure accessibility and input accuracy.
Developed automated test scripts using Selenium and Java to continuously validate donation form behavior, form field logic, and integration with the payment processing system.
Implemented regression test cases to safeguard against bugs during frequent platform updates.
Validated security and compliance measures, including HTTPS, data encryption, and tokenized payment methods.

Results

As a result of RELA-TECH’s full-cycle QA process, the platform achieved:

Secure and uninterrupted donation processing, boosting donor trust and increasing successful transactions.
Improved platform reliability, ensuring smooth user experience for both administrators and church members.
Faster release cycles due to automation coverage, reducing the risk of bugs reaching production.
A strong foundation for scaling the platform across a wider church network with confidence in its core financial functionality.
