Challenge

A mid-market import-export company in Italy ships cut flowers to wholesalers across Europe within 48 hours of harvesting. But its in-house tooling was a patchwork of Excel sheets and siloed APIs, giving managers zero real-time view of warehouse activity or goods in transit. Customer service relied on endless email threads; on-site agents at airports had to phone HQ for updates. To stay competitive, the company needed a unified web portal that would aggregate logistics data, surface client buying patterns, and integrate with its existing marketplace and CRM — all without disrupting peak seasonal traffic and under a strict six-month deadline.

Solution

Sigli assembled a cross-functional squad and delivered the project in four phases:
1. Discovery. On-site workshops mapped user journeys and KPIs, ensuring UX matched real warehouse and sales workflows.
2. DevOps & architecture. A CI/CD pipeline, cloud environments and IaC templates were spun up so new features could ship safely every sprint.
3. Feature implementation. Using React, Redux, TypeScript (front-end) and Laravel + PHP (back-end) we built modules for order tracking, warehouse dashboards, supplier analytics and role-based notifications. RESTful APIs unified data from scanning devices, ERP and transport partners.
4. Quality assurance & rollout. Automated tests plus manual QA stabilised the app; user training and run-books enabled smooth hand-over to internal IT

Results

Single source of truth live: managers view real-time order and inventory data for 20 + depots in one dashboard.
Communication speed up 40 % — built-in notifications replaced most email loops between sales, warehouse and field agents.
Decision-making accelerated: granular analytics on client purchasing patterns drive smarter stock planning ahead of peak holidays.
Faster releases: automated pipeline cuts time-to-feature from monthly drops to weekly sprints.
Scalable foundation: the modular React + Laravel stack is cloud-ready and easily extendable with new B2B self-service features. Together, the platform modernised a time-sensitive floral supply chain and positioned the client for further digital growth
