Staylime performed migration to Magento 2 for a German manufacturer and retailer of spice mixes and seasonings, redesigning the UI and introducing custom functionality to improve conversion. With the help of the official Magento 2 migration tool, we incrementally migrated the store to a new platform, having run a set of tests during the process to ensure data consistency and accuracy. Looking to provide users with a smooth and consistent browsing experience, our team developed an eye-catching custom design theme and optimized website’s performance across desktop and mobile devices.

Along with store’s migration and visual improvements, we revamped the product catalogue and delivered a range of new functional features, either built from scratch or customized: — Flexible product slider to enable display of new arrivals, bestsellers, limited time offers; — Storefront grid module to edit job opportunities and team members on the corresponding website pages; — Custom pricing algorithm to specify product price based on its weight or item package quantity as per German legislation; — Store locator to allow buyers see the nearest store on the map; — Single box for native coupon input fields and Amasty Gift Card’s inputs to speed up the checkout process and offload the page; — Email validation field to confirm users’ emails during the registration and checkout.

The upgraded store supports integration with a number of third-party systems, including payment gateways (PayPal, Amazon Pay) and delivery services (DHL), as well as an internal ERP system employed by the customer. The new website has been successfully launched in 3 months. Thanks to a brand-new design theme and enhanced functional capabilities, the bounce rate has dropped significantly, whilst conversion rates have increased shortly after the release.
