The main objective was to develop a companion app for the STOP Defend & Send device. The app is designed to help users set up STOP Defend & Send and connect it to their smartphone via Bluetooth. The main function of the app is the so-called "Guard Mode". Users can activate this mode, for example, when walking home alone at night. The location is continuously recorded in the background so that in case of an emergency, a text message can be sent to contacts when the user activates the alarm button on the device.
