Challenge
An organization in the election management sector wanted an Android-based solution to securely collect and transmit election-related and administrative data. The platform needed to support accurate assessment and reporting across multiple locations in Kenya and Uganda, including regions with limited or unreliable internet connectivity. Key requirements included secure data handling, offline functionality for field operations, and accessible reporting for internal teams.

Solution
We developed Tumana RTS as a secure and reliable Android data collection platform. The app was built using Flutter for smooth performance and efficient deployment. Offline data storage was implemented using SQLite, allowing field staff to capture information without internet access. Data encryption was added to protect sensitive election information during transmission, while cloud syncing enabled internal teams to access reports in real time. A simple and intuitive interface was designed to ensure accurate and fast data entry, with the system connected to AWS for secure and centralized data access.
