The client wanted to build a food discovery and ordering application that goes beyond traditional delivery platforms by combining seamless ordering with social engagement. Operating in the food and restaurant industry, the goal was to make food discovery fast, visual, and engaging while helping restaurants automate orders, manage inventory, and promote offers. The platform also needed to support group orders with split payments, community-driven features such as reviews and feeds, and real-time delivery tracking for a smooth user experience.

Solution
We developed Ur Shout M8 as a cross-platform mobile application with integrated restaurant and community features. iOS and Android apps were built using Flutter, supported by a Node.js backend and PostgreSQL database to manage orders, payments, menus, inventory, and user accounts securely. WebSocket-based real-time chat enabled instant communication between customers, restaurants, and delivery partners. Restaurant-side tools were added for order automation, service area setup, promotions, and timing management. The platform also included group ordering with split payments, live GPS-based delivery tracking, and a social food feed where users can post reviews, share media, and earn loyalty “Foodie Badges.” A visually rich UI was designed to make menu browsing and food discovery engaging.
