A leading US construction management SaaS company needed to secure file access at massive scale (500M+ files, ~6PB in S3) across 1.6M users. The prior approach exposed internal files to external users, creating major risks (identity theft, financial loss, legal exposure). Solution
ZoolaTech analyzed the monolith, identified weak points in file sharing, and implemented a secure access layer with standard access patterns, centralized authentication, and fine-grained authorization. We added configurable file-level auditing with monitoring of user operations, ensured storage independence per team/project, and increased scalability through a microservices architecture with strong documentation.
