A European manufacturer/retailer expanding into new, regulation-heavy markets ran many third-party systems with batch, point-to-point integrations. Each new market made the landscape more complex, driving high latency, inaccurate data, and rising maintenance costs—so they needed a reusable, event-driven integration hub.

Solution
ZoolaTech designed and built Nexus: a custom cloud-based integration hub on Event-Driven Architecture with Apache Kafka. We implemented middleware facades to normalize data and handle errors across vendor systems, added management/search & debugging, deduplication, tokenization, and central schema governance, plus CI/CD and IaC standards.

Results
The real-time streaming platform improved scalability, reliability, and data integrity. It reduced integration latency from 36 hours to milliseconds, enabled near real-time process visibility and omnichannel experiences, increased fault tolerance, and created a digital foundation for advanced analytics and AI—while lowering long-term integration maintenance complexity.
