Custom warehouse management system for manufacturing logistics
Challenge
The client, a manufacturing company, was managing warehouse and inventory operations without a dedicated digital system. Stock tracking, internal transfers, and movements between warehouses relied heavily on manual processes, limiting visibility and traceability. The solution also needed to support complex manufacturing logistics, including component movements, quarantine processes, production-related transfers, and future barcode automation. The goal was to build a lightweight custom WMS that could support multiple warehouses while remaining scalable as operations expanded.

Solution
Adexin developed a custom warehouse management system that centralized inventory control and logistics workflows across multiple warehouse locations. The platform provides real-time visibility into components and storage locations, inbound and outbound logistics management, internal transfers to production, historical movement records, role-based access, and barcode-ready labeling. A lightweight mobile application supports warehouse staff in day-to-day operations. The system was designed around manufacturing workflows while providing a flexible foundation for additional warehouses, users, and automation.

Results
The custom WMS replaced manual warehouse processes with centralized digital workflows across 4 operational warehouses. More than 5 core modules now support inventory and logistics management, with digital records and role-based access available across the organization. The system improved stock and component traceability between locations, simplified internal warehouse movements, and gave operational teams a single source of information for day-to-day logistics. The initial system was delivered within approximately 3 months, providing a scalable foundation for further barcode automation and warehouse expansion.
