Challenge
eTEU had already developed an initial version of its digital shipping documentation platform but needed additional backend expertise and development capacity to bring the next version to market faster. The platform had to support standardized shipping documents, secure data exchange between multiple parties, fast transaction processing, and full traceability of document changes. The architecture also needed to remain scalable as the product and transaction volumes grew.

Solution
Adexin worked with eTEU to develop and improve the backend of its shipping document management platform. The solution enables shipping companies to generate, edit, exchange, and track digital documents while maintaining an immutable audit trail through blockchain technology. Adexin also helped improve the underlying architecture and development workflow, including database migration tooling, Swagger-based API documentation, and a transition from REST API to GraphQL to accelerate frontend development.
The platform was designed to support secure document exchange between stakeholders such as shippers, freight forwarders, carriers, and other parties involved in shipping operations.

Results
Adexin helped eTEU bring the updated platform to market 6 months faster than initially expected. The completed solution provided secure and traceable digital document workflows, supported compliant document generation and exchange, and strengthened the platform's technical foundation for further development. By taking responsibility for part of the backend development, Adexin also freed up eTEU's internal team to focus on other product priorities.
