Pulp Friction: Empowering Neurodiverse Talent Through Digital Inclusion
Challenge
Pulp Friction, a UK-based charitable organization, was on a mission to create digital experiences that reflect the values of inclusivity, empowerment, and community support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism. However, their existing web presence was outdated, non-responsive, and lacked accessibility features essential for neurodiverse audiences.
The challenge was twofold:
- Design a website that communicates the organization’s mission in an engaging, professional, and inclusive way to donors, volunteers, caregivers, and the general public.
- Build a user-friendly platform that could also serve as a digital onboarding tool for new members — including taster day signups, induction flow, and feedback mechanisms — while meeting WCAG accessibility standards.
The digital experience needed to work across devices, support donation campaigns, simplify content management, and integrate with Pulp Friction’s social media strategy. Above all, it had to remain welcoming and accessible to neurodiverse individuals — the heart of their community.
