Invoice Audit Compliance: 15-Day Tax Deadline Met in 10
Challenge
A U.S. tax authority gave our client, a multi-state field services company, 15 days to hand over complete invoice records across several states. The records had to be 100% accurate. The data lived in separate ticketing and invoicing systems, there was no bulk extraction process, and nobody had a single source of truth. Doing it by hand would have tied up subject matter experts for weeks and still carried the risk of errors reaching a regulator.

Solution
We built an extraction engine that pulled invoice records from every source database at the same time. Each record was then cross-checked automatically against the original ticketing and invoicing systems, and any mismatch was flagged and fixed before submission. Once the audit response was filed, we turned the tool into a permanent finance compliance utility, so the next request from an auditor takes a fraction of the effort.

Results
The full record set went to the tax authority in 10 days, five days ahead of the deadline. Accuracy came in at 100% across thousands of invoices, with zero manual record-level review by the client's experts. SME effort dropped from weeks to days. The client now owns a reusable compliance platform instead of a one-off fire drill, which changes how it handles every future audit.
