Challenge

We undertook a custom project for a Food Delivery Business in Guatemala, involving three apps: one for customers, another for delivery personnel, and a third administrative app for admins, staff managers, call centers, and restaurant service quality control. Celadon provided mobile and web app development services for this project. Our challenge was to create an efficient food delivery app for seamless ordering and payment. Integrating payment gateways was particularly complex, requiring solutions for the global payment network VisaNet and local tax information retrieval via NIT for restaurant clients

Key highlights for the carriers include: Built-in GPS using Google Maps for real-time delivery tracking Direct client or call center communication Customized data picker for enhanced user experience In-app translation between English and Spanish For the Admin website, we implemented a dynamic sidebar tailored to the authorized user's role. Admin panel: User search Selection or creation of delivery addresses and distribution points Real-time driver route tracking and delivery time estimation Order distribution and processing Daily menu updates A feature-rich shopping cart with multiple categories and product filters Preferences for card and cash payment methods.

Results

Our team dedicated its utmost effort to develop a food delivery app that has yielded significant success. The solution quickly gained traction in the region, winning over locals with its convenient features. As a result, it witnessed a surge in user traffic, contributing to increased sales and customer loyalty. Moreover, the app generated employment opportunities for couriers and administrative staff.
