Software built for your business. Cytech designs, develops and supports software with demanding integration and operating requirements. Founded in 2001 at the Science & Technology Park of Crete, our 20-person team works with clients worldwide.
Build. Connect. Evolve. We build new systems, connect data and services, and maintain and modernize existing software. Our work combines architecture, complex integration, cloud infrastructure, controlled delivery and continued support.
Connected systems and data create the foundations for useful AI. We prepare those foundations and implement intelligent assistants, agentic applications and AI-enabled workflows. Our capabilities include LLM integration, advanced retrieval-augmented generation, memory management and agent orchestration.
We developed Greek PLF, European dPLF and the EU Common Ship Sanitation Database. These critical systems integrated national infrastructure. During pandemic operation, European dPLF processed millions of forms per month and Greek PLF received tens of thousands per day. Ship Sanitation included the complete platform, legacy-data migration and an offline inspector app.
Building and maintaining our own software brings a product-owner perspective to architecture, reliability and future development. mCore handles more than one billion SMS messages per year; its core routing engine, Sendium, is separate open-source software.
Cytech holds ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 certifications for information security and privacy management. We address security and privacy by design and by default.
Recognition includes the 2011 Heraklion Chamber Prize of Extroversion and a 2025 Antonio Meucci Awards High-Distinction for Wholesale Messaging Platform.

Processes and approach
How do you gather and validate client requirements?
We start with what you want to build, connect or improve, the systems involved and the operating constraints. We agree a development scope or a focused technical assessment. For existing software, we first assess the code, architecture and infrastructure.
How do you ensure alignment with client goals and business strategy?
We connect technical decisions to the purpose of the software, its users and its operating requirements. Building and maintaining our own production software informs decisions about reliability, support and future development.
Which software development methodologies do you use (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum)?
Our approach combines architectural thinking, software development, complex integration, automated delivery and continued support. We use AI within a disciplined engineering process, guided by quality checks and engineering accountability.
How do you keep clients and stakeholders updated on project progress?
We review requirements and development progress with the client and discuss decisions and changes as the work evolves. The collaboration and reporting approach is agreed for each engagement.
How frequently do you hold check-in meetings or status updates?
We agree the communication channels, review points and update frequency at the start of the engagement, according to the project and client team.
What quality assurance practices do you follow?
We address security, privacy, reliability, scalability and integration requirements throughout software design and delivery. Cytech holds ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701:2019 certifications.
High-quality software. Efficient delivery. Our project evaluations, using the IFPUG function-point measurement method defined in ISO/IEC 20926:2009, recorded around 4 engineering hours per function point. For context, ISBSG’s published Java benchmark averaged 6.9 hours per function point. Benchmark source · Measurement standard.
How do you identify and manage project risks?
We examine the existing software, infrastructure, integrations and access requirements before agreeing the scope. For AI capabilities, we consider the intended task, information sources, evaluation and operating needs within the full system.
What kind of support or maintenance do you offer after delivery?
We provide software maintenance, modernization and continued development, including improvements to reliability, security and scalability. Support scope and commitments are agreed for the system and engagement involved.
