The reliance on outdated communication tools, such as pagers, resulted in fragmented communication and inefficiencies among healthcare teams. Additionally, ensuring security and compliance with stringent healthcare regulations, like HIPAA, was crucial while still providing quick access to patient information in real-time. Furthermore, the need for seamless integration with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) was essential, enabling clinical staff to access relevant patient data without the hassle of switching between different platforms.
