1️⃣ Bringing Systems Together
We integrated the company’s existing Azure Blob Storage and linked it with a supporting SQL metadata database, all connected to Azure AI Search.
This setup allowed Azure AI Search to:
• Crawl and index every stored file, including EDI, XML, and PDFs
• Analyze the internal content of documents
• Identify and associate metadata like transaction type, client IDs, and timestamps
2️⃣ Intelligent Content Indexing
Azure AI Search became the smart engine behind the scenes — scanning the actual file content rather than just relying on filenames. It built a powerful search index that included:
• Keywords and document text
• Metadata fields customized to their business
• File names and folder locations
This made all types of files — from EDI 214 shipment notices to customs XML messages — fully discoverable.

To complete the solution, we developed a modern web-based interface integrated with Azure AI Search. It enabled users to:
