ERP for a Medical Device Distributor
Challenge
Medical device distributors run one of the most operationally demanding businesses there is, and most of them run it across a patchwork of disconnected tools. Surgical cases get scheduled in one place, the trays and loose-bin inventory that support those cases are tracked in spreadsheets, charge capture and billing happen in another system, rep commissions are reconciled by hand, and compliance documents live in email threads and shared drives. Every handoff between those systems is a chance for a used item to go unbilled, a tray to be restocked late, a commission to be miscalculated, or an audit request to turn into a week-long scramble.

Solution
Our client needed to replace that fragmentation with a single platform, one that understood the specifics of their world: consignment inventory that moves in and out of hospitals, facility-specific pricing agreements, surgeon relationships, and the compliance and document trail a regulated industry demands. Off-the-shelf ERP couldn't model any of it without heavy, expensive customization, so we built around how device distribution actually works.

- CRM & surgeon management: keep surgeon and account relationships in one place
- Compliance & document management: the traceability a regulated industry requires, ready for audits
- Facility pricing: manage facility-specific pricing agreements accurately
