BOSE Hear

BOSE needed a partner with a proven app portfolio to quickly identify and develop solutions for an app which was critical to their new line of products. BOSE Hear had to follow FDA Class II guidelines and audits as it was a medical device, meaning all our developers had to train with dedicated and documented procedures. Multiple generations of devices needed to be supported via a single app, and features were needed that allowed the user to easily configure their own hearing device settings, as this is an over-the-counter product

The intent team supported the release of the first hearing aids made by BOSE - commercially available and FDA Class II approved, allowing them to be sold in the USA without a doctor’s prescription. A proactive and critical review of the actual state of the applications was completed - we provided suggestions and organized workshops to share knowledge. Our team also helped introduce unit tests and UI tests in addition to new code standards and patterns.
