Challenge

The goal of the build was to develop a functional MVP in the short time frame to present to the board of directors to continue the development of the app further. We had MVP build, limited time-frames & presentation to the board in our minds when working on the MVP of the project.

Solution

Product development started in a rapidly changing environment following Agile methodology – we were supporting both front-end Flutter & backend node.js parts of the project along with UI/UX design-build. We decided to use Flutter as a programming language due to its simplicity, performance & coding speed as well as native experiences for both iOS & Android in one cross-platform solution which Flutter provides. Microservices for the backend were planned as well to adjust to extendability requirements – we knew we were working on the MVP but we needed to do it functional to allow for the growth the product achieved afterward.

Results

Labster has raised a total of $103.5M in funding over 5 rounds. Their latest funding was raised on Feb 10, 2021 from a Series C round. Labster is funded by 12 investors. Educapital and GGV Capital are the most recent investors. Labster app developed with Interexy vastly increased the Series C fundraising amount.
