Challenge
The problem was to implement a tab with navigation functionality similar to the behavior in native Android apps. This required creating a UI with multiple tabs that users could switch between, while ensuring the navigation state for each tab was preserved independently. Additionally, each tab needed to support its own back stack, mimicking Android’s fragment-based navigation, which involved managing lifecycle states and user experience across different navigation flows. The challenge also included handling deep links and ensuring smooth transitions when switching tabs or navigating within a tab.

Solution
We’ve added a settings screen that allows users to customize preferences for route construction—such as preferred charging speed, station networks, and detour range. In addition, a new map screen now displays your full EV route along with nearby charging stations. This screen shows real-time availability, station types, and estimated charging durations, helping users plan more efficient and stress-free trips.
