They were looking for a VPN solution for the major operating systems: iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows initially. Along with that, they needed the protocol expertise to connect with multiple servers in different countries and geo-locations. Currently, Symlex VPN covers 120+ servers in 75+ countries and locations. Also, they wanted an app with an attractive and user-friendly interface. In addition, they also needed a dedicated admin panel for backend management like managing subscribers, payments management, user registration, daily subscription report, etc.

Solution
Kolpolok played a crucial role in transforming Symlex into a thriving VPN by offering comprehensive solutions. They designed an appealing app and admin interface, tailoring it to brand materials. Figma was employed for design completion. Developing the app for 4 OSs (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) posed challenges, requiring varied expertise (Qt, C++, Objective C, Swift, Java, Kotlin). 7 different language experts were involved. QA engineers ensured app quality. Diverse protocols (AnyConnect, OpenVPN, WireGuard, Shadowsocks) were integrated, enhancing VPN efficiency. The admin panel, built using Vue.js, featured user-friendly UI. It encompassed user management, payment tracking, sales and subscription reports. APIs were integrated throughout admin panel development.

Symlex VPN has been one of the most downloaded apps in both the Google Play and Apple App Stores, with the app created and developed by Kolpolok. It has achieved over 7 million total subscribers, half a million downloads, 300K active subscribers, along with 7,500 reviews from users. Symlex VPN was awarded National ICT Award 2022 for such innovative solutions to ensure safe and secure internet access. Despite of being a successful VPN, we are still working on the project and continuously improving it with different versions.
