Business-oriented Mobile App Using Beacons
Challenge
Attende monitors the presence and activity of participants during events such as training sessions and meetings.
The starting point was the paper attendance list. It works, but it produces nothing beyond a signature: no record of who was actually in the room at a given moment, no way to reach the participants during the event, and nothing to analyse afterwards.
So the tool had to do two things at once. Replace the list with a digital equivalent suited to how business events run today, and give organisers a way to communicate and interact with participants in real time, while the event is happening rather than after it ends.

Mobitouch covered UX and UI design, built the iOS app in Swift with a Java backend and a dedicated CMS, and integrated the system with beacon devices.
Presence is registered through a beacon installed at the venue. The participant's phone confirms attendance on its own, which removes the passing of a sheet around the room and records who was present and when, rather than who signed.
Real-time interaction runs through push notifications, so an organiser reaches everyone in the room during the session: a change in the agenda, a question, a message that matters at that moment.
The data collected goes into an advanced web panel where organisers analyse it afterwards. That is where the difference from a paper list becomes obvious, because attendance becomes a source of insight instead of a filed document.
