MindEasy (BASIA)
Challenge
MindEasy is a neurotechnology startup building brain-computer interface tools for education, cognitive enhancement and therapy, with products that adapt in real time to the user's neurophysiological state.
The task was an MVP of BASIA, a neuroadaptive learning platform. It works together with a Muse EEG headband that tracks cognitive state during a session, measuring focus, attention and mental fatigue.
What makes this different from ordinary adaptive learning is where the signal comes from. The platform does not infer a learner's state from answers or clicks, it reads it. When focus is high, the material gets harder. When attention drops or fatigue sets in, the content or the pacing has to change to match. All of it delivered through a conversational interface powered by a large language model, so the learner talks to the system instead of navigating it.

Solution
Mobitouch covered frontend development, backend development and the integration of the AI models.
The learner sees a chat. The conversation is the interface, so the platform supports the session the way a tutor would, and the learner does not have to operate anything beyond talking to it.
Underneath, the EEG stream from the headband is read continuously and translated into the state the platform acts on. Difficulty and pacing follow that reading rather than a fixed curriculum, which is the whole point of the product: the adjustment happens while the person is learning, not after a test.
The session is designed to run with minimal guidance, so a participant completes it on their own. That mattered for an MVP meant to be validated with real users rather than demonstrated by its authors.
For the research side, session data is accessible and exportable in detail, which is how the hypothesis behind the product gets tested.

Results
MindEasy has a working AI-assisted learning platform that responds to measurable changes in brain activity during a session. The chatbot leads the learner through the material and adjusts what it presents to the cognitive state read from the EEG headband.
Participants complete full sessions with little instruction, and researchers export detailed session data for analysis, which turns the MVP into something that can be studied rather than only shown.
