Mobile App for Digital Radio
Challenge
Radio Nowy Świat is an internet radio station initiated by iconic Polish music journalists. It officially launched in July 2020 and quickly became one of the country's most popular radio stations. With a focus on delivering ambitious and valuable content, it aimed to evolve and cater to changing user needs.
The main goal was to create a new version of the mobile app that would meet the changing needs of users. Our primary task was to create a visually refreshed version of the app, which would additionally include new functionalities, such as the ability to listen to podcasts and other additional materials appearing on the air.
It was also important to implement a function that allows users to choose the quality of streaming, which is especially important when using the app in a place with a low-quality connection. The relatively short time of project implementation was also a big challenge for our team.

Solution
We created a refreshed version of the mobile application with new functionalities that went beyond a standard radio player. The app provides access to podcasts, schedules, the entire radio playlist and song titles.
We implemented the possibility of playing podcasts, which increased the app's attractiveness among current users and is an interesting incentive for people who have not yet decided to become a patron of the application. Such users receive limited, 5-minute access to podcast playback.
We also implemented the possibility of choosing the streaming quality, allowing users to adjust playback to the quality of their internet connection.
The application was developed using Flutter, ensuring compatibility with both iOS and Android and helping us expedite project completion and reduce development costs.
