The Brushfly Outfitters Website by New Perspective Design
Challenge
Brushfly Outfitters needed a digital platform that could communicate more than destinations — it had to express the feeling of fly fishing itself. Their previous site lacked cohesion, identity, and structure. It didn’t reflect the premium, tailor-made adventures they offered worldwide.
The challenge was twofold: to create a brand identity that feels rugged yet refined, and to design a website that translates that identity into a fluid, immersive digital experience. Every element — from logo to layout — needed to echo the thrill of exploration while maintaining professionalism and clarity.
Additionally, because Brushfly Outfitters operates across multiple international locations, the site had to support dynamic, scalable destination listings that could grow over time. The project also required a system that was lightweight, SEO-ready, and optimized for global audiences while being manageable through WordPress without compromising performance or visual storytelling.

Solution
New Perspective Design, led by Juan Preuyt, approached this project as a complete digital transformation. We began with brand development — crafting a logo, color palette, and visual tone inspired by the textures and colors of the wild.
We then designed a custom WordPress structure that combined aesthetic depth with functional precision. Each destination — from Argentina to Seychelles — was built as an independent listing using custom post types and styled grids. This allows Brushfly Outfitters to seamlessly expand their portfolio while maintaining a consistent layout.
To enhance immersion, we used full-width imagery, rugged typography, and an earthy color scheme to evoke nature and adventure. Lightweight animations and subtle transitions make the site feel alive without slowing performance. Every technical decision — from responsive breakpoints to caching — was driven by SEO and user experience.
The end product became a digital representation of Brushfly’s promise: Unrivaled Tailor-Made Fly Fishing Experiences Worldwide.

Results
The redesigned website elevated Brushfly Outfitters’ digital presence from a static brochure to an immersive brand experience. The new identity captures authenticity and adventure, resonating with their global audience.
Post-launch, the site achieved:
- Significant engagement improvements, with users spending more time exploring destinations and galleries.
- Higher SEO visibility within travel and fly-fishing search categories, ranking competitively in the “South Africa web design” and “fly-fishing travel” niches.
- A stronger, more coherent brand presence across web and marketing campaigns.
The modular design structure now allows the client to expand without technical overhead, while the new brand identity positions them as a premium adventure outfitter.
For us, this project reflected what we believe great web design in South Africa should embody — storytelling, strategy, and seamless technology, working together to create something timeless.
