NEXTAP Solutions is a software development studio based in Pardubice, Czech Republic, founded in 2014 and built without external funding. We position ourselves as a long-term product partner: instead of one-off deliveries, we join startups and scaleups as their engineering team and grow with the product over years.
What we build: native iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin) apps, React web frontends, Golang backends on Kubernetes, and AI features such as vector search and content generation.
Proof: our flagship client Steller, a multimedia travel platform with over 1 million users and 10 million media uploads, has worked with us since 2018. The team grew from 1 to 15 NEXTAP developers over that time. We built the Android app for DriveScore, a product by ClearScore, the UK's largest free credit score platform. Other partnerships include fintech platforms Monefit and Bippit.
How we work: dedicated teams or team extension, transparent agile process, direct communication in the client's tools, and senior oversight on every project. Our Padawan program grows junior developers into leads inside long-running projects, which keeps knowledge in the team instead of rotating contractors.
Industries: fintech, travel tech, consumer social and content platforms. We work with clients across the US, UK and EU.

Processes and approach
How do you gather and validate client requirements?
We start with a discovery phase: workshops with founders and product owners to map business goals, user needs and technical constraints. Requirements become user stories with acceptance criteria, validated through clickable prototypes and design reviews before development starts. On long-term engagements, requirements evolve continuously through backlog refinement with the client's product team, so scope is validated against real user feedback and analytics rather than assumptions.
How do you ensure alignment with client goals and business strategy?
Every feature is tied to a product goal before it enters a sprint. We work directly with founders and product leads, so priorities are set together, not handed over. On engagements like Steller, our leads participate in product planning with the client's US team, which keeps the roadmap, budget and technical decisions aligned with business strategy. We flag early when a request will not move the metric it targets and propose alternatives.
Which software development methodologies do you use (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum)?
Agile, adapted per client. Most teams run Scrum with two week sprints, including planning, refinement, review and retrospective. Smaller or maintenance scopes run Kanban with continuous flow. When a client already has a working process, we integrate into their tooling, rituals and release cadence rather than forcing our own.
How do you keep clients and stakeholders updated on project progress?
Clients work with us in shared Slack channels and see progress daily, not in monthly reports. Every sprint ends with a demo of working software. Task boards are fully open to the client, and releases ship with clear changelogs. For stakeholders further from the day to day work, we provide concise written recaps.
How frequently do you hold check-in meetings or status updates?
Daily standups within the team, a sprint review and planning every two weeks, and a regular sync between our lead and the client's product owner, typically weekly. Beyond that, communication is continuous through Slack, so nothing waits for the next meeting.
What quality assurance practices do you follow?
Code review on every merge, automated unit and integration tests, CI pipelines that block broken builds, and manual testing of every release candidate on real devices. Mobile releases use staged rollouts and crash monitoring. For regulated clients such as fintech, we add stricter release checklists and a contractually defined defect classification with agreed response times.
How do you identify and manage project risks?
Risks are surfaced during discovery and re-evaluated in every sprint planning. Technical risks get spikes or prototypes before we commit to an approach. Delivery risks are managed through transparent backlogs and honest velocity data, so the client sees a slip forming weeks ahead, not at the deadline. Key person risk is reduced through code review, documentation and pair onboarding.
